The DALI RUBICON 2 C is an active stand-mounted speaker with a 6 Ω” low-loss woofer and a 29 mm ultra-light soft dome tweeter. With its impressive soundstage and large bass reproduction, it’s perfect for stereo or surround setups.

Zero-Loss Wireless

The proprietary wireless connection between RUBICON C and the hub is extremely stable and requires no active Wi-Fi signal.

Patented SMC

With an SMC magnet pole-piece surrounded by a slitted copper cap, the effect of the SMC is focused and maximised to reduce distortion.

PATENTED SMC

Reducing distortion with SMC

The RUBICON 2 C draws on the heritage from the SMC-based ‘Linear Drive System’, introduced with the EPICON series. With SMC, we achieve extremely low distortion and maximise detail, even at low volume. The drivers are manufactured in-house at our production facilities in central Denmark and feature the latest in magnet motor technology. The RUBICON 2 C sets new audio quality standards for Hi-Fi lovers around the world.

CLASS D AMPLIFICATION

Based on state-of-the-art technology

Designing a best-in-class active speaker system is the sum of many parts, including the all-important amplification. Using a digital crossover in place of a passive analogue filter, the RUBICON 2 C’s two closed loop, self-oscillating Class D amplifiers drive the woofer and tweeters directly, resulting in a pairing that’s tuned to bring out even more dynamic detail in whatever you play.

6½” WOOFER

Drawing on technology from EPICON series

The woofer cone has a light, rigid and randomly uneven structure, which lowers the complexity of the central part of the motor, ensures piston-like movement, significantly reduces the possibility of surface resonance and minimises distortion. Designed specifically for the RUBICON 2 C, the soft, low-loss rubber surround includes a cast-aluminium chassis designed for maximum airflow around the cone and magnet system.

OVERSIZED TWEETER

A 29 mm driver for a broader bandwidth

The ultra-lightweight 29 mm soft dome tweeter used in the RUBICON 2 C reaches higher into the very high frequencies – higher, in fact, than the soft dome used in our signature hybrid tweeter module. And to achieve a broader bandwidth, the tweeter includes a light, agile voice-coil driven by a powerful ferrite magnet.

The SOUND HUB’s analogue input is where audiophile tradition meets the future of wireless active Hi-Fi. Using advanced analogue to digital conversion, the SOUND HUB converts audio from sources like CD players, turntables and RIAA phono preamplifiers into a high resolution, better-than-CD quality, 24 bit/96 kHz stream for the best possible audio reproduction.

SUBWOOFER OUTPUT

Delivering powerful low-end detail

The SOUND HUB includes a volume-controlled, line-level analogue subwoofer output that switches on automatically when a subwoofer is detected. For seamless integration with the rest of the system, the output is low-pass filtered to match the frequency characteristics of the main speakers. Using the optional DALI WSR (Wireless Subwoofer Receiver), the SOUND HUB can connect wirelessly to any active subwoofer for a full-range 2.1 setup or as a true LFE channel in a multichannel system.
